Anthropic is paying $15 billion a year for access to Elon Musk’s data centers

SpaceX’s IPO filing says Anthropic will pay $1.25 billion per month through May 2029 for access to Colossus I and Colossus II in Memphis, a deal SpaceX and Anthropic had announced earlier this month. That works out to $15 billion a year and is a major new revenue stream for SpaceX, with the filing noting the payment exceeds the company’s 2025 reported revenue of $18.7 billion and includes a termination clause.
