Google wants to compete with Anthropic’s Mythos

Google is expanding its CodeMender “AI agent for code security” by letting select external experts test its API, after debuting it last October and pitching it as a system that can both flag and fix vulnerabilities in code. The push signals a bigger cybersecurity race with Anthropic after its Claude Mythos Preview announcement drew intense attention from the AI industry and major institutions, including top banks and the Federal Reserve chair.
